Materials
When planning equipment purchases for this curriculum, base your estimates on an average group of 10–12 children. Within each group, children should be divided into teams of 2. Each team requires its own complete set of equipment. For example, if multiple groups are operating concurrently, ensure that every team within each group is provided with a dedicated equipment set. For example, 10-12 children would require 5-6 sets of equipment.
For this module you will need:
1 of each of the kits below for each group of 2 children (so if you have 12 students you would need 6 of each of the kit)
I Can Build it: Architecture Set
White paper, pencils and crayons for creating color “renderings” of the homes that will be built in the Architecture portion of this module
Optional: Large baggies to keep the blocks in from the Blocks & Blueprints kits
Unleash your campers'/students’ creativity with our Architecture Module! Campers will start by learning to read and build from blueprints using the Blocks and Blueprint Kit, honing their attention to detail and building essential engineering skills.
Next, they’ll take on design challenges with an architecture experience, constructing house models to bring their ideas to life. As they progress, teams will create their own Architecture Design Portfolios, showcasing their designs and completed projects. This module combines STEM learning, engineering, and hands-on design for an engaging and educational experience!
